Organic distributor, home delivery and veg box scheme

Red Apple is a workers Cooperative based at Dunford Bridge near Holmfirth in South Yorkshire. We are registered with the FSA under the Industrial and Provident Societies Act 1965 (registration number: 30772 R). Our main activity is to make home delivery of organic produce through a box scheme to customers that reside in the local area. Boxes are delivered on a weekly basis but you can opt for a different scheme if you wish see frequently asked questions.

We are a coordinator of the certified organic supplier Goosemore. They grow a wide range of vegetables, salads and herbs, supplemented by local & imported produce, including fruit & groceries. Their growing and packing operations are licensed with the Soil Association, and they comply fully with the latest in organic regulations.

If you are new to a veg box scheme and fear that you may not consume all of it, have a go without more commitment. You might be surprised at the fact that you won't spend more money than having to buy your vegetables from the super market and it may make you more creative by widening your taste. Bear also in mind that you can blacklist some vegetables you definitely don't like. We'll stick to your desires. Let's eat healthier and local produce as much as possible...

Location

We are based in Dunford Bridge and deliver veg boxes in a radius area of about 10 miles around Holmfirth. This includes Crow Edge, Hepworth, New Mill, Holmbridge, Honley, Upperthong, Newsome, Linthwaite, Netherton, Thurstonland, Shepley, Shelley, Kirkburton, Demby Dale, Millhouse, Green, Penistone, and the adjoining areas. If you live out of this area but still close to it, just contact us to know if you could deliver where you live.

Human resources

Our team presently comprises Piet, Andy, Graham, and Kate. We're all very friendly and at the entire disposal of our customers to bring them full satisfaction. We are an ecologically focused Co-op, supporting fair-trade ethical business practice and running from an office powered entirely from renewable energy.

Environmental project

While Red Apple Cooperative is an independent entity, we are based at a collective where other companions deal with other aspects of environment so as to form together a more complete picture of an integrated environmental approach.

For instance, some people work in gardening and are available for taking care of your garden at your place (Magdalena's mobile: 07507 494 898). Others are involved with renewable energies and install solar systems (see rai systems). We also have a companion, Michael, who offers services in buiding work and property maintenance (mobile: 07131 481 002).
